Tuesday in the Nation’s Capitol means it’s time to get this week started! My husband, an NAR director, has already headed out to start his day while I have a little bit of time before my first event.
This is my third year attending and every year, I always learn at least 100 new things. My first year was the one where I kind of stood off to the side and watched everything going on. I also spent a lot of time in the lobby of the Wardman Park (great meeting place, by the way). This year, while my schedule isn’t jam packed, it’s allowing me to focus on a few important things.
Today, I’ll be on the speaking panel during the Military Relocation Professional certification class at the Washington Hilton. Working with our active duty and veterans, as well as learning everything I can to help them is very important to me. Tucson, AZ is home to Davis Monthan Air Force Base, along with a very vibrant and ever changing retiree community. Later in the week, I’ll go on my first “field trip” to the VA. That is something I am really looking forward to.
If you see someone hobbling around in a walking boot – that’s me. (Don’t ask me how I did it.) Please come say hi. I love meeting agents from all over and, well, you just never know when I’ll need someone to refer one of our military members to!
