A year ago – in May of 2014 – I was part of the first graduating class of MRE candidates from Realtor University (that’s me – second from left). Back then we were nervous, excited and – yes – ecstatic – as this 2014 photo shows. It took most of us about two years to work our way through the program to be one of the 10 graduates in the program. Tomorrow, May 15, 2015, the second Realtor University MRE class graduates, and there will be 12 Realtors bestowed with this honor. And, it is an honor. It takes two or more years of dedicated study to make it through this rigorous program. Currently, there are about 70 students enrolled in the program, and the program is growing each semester. I am proud to be a member of that first graduating class, and even more proud to have completed the courses required to graduate. I wish the 2015 graduating class the best of luck, and salute them for completing the rigorous requirements in the program.
If you are thinking of taking this program, just contact a graduate for more information about what it is like to experience the program. It is difficult. It is time consuming. And it is amazing. The relationships and friendships – life long. The learning experience – worth its weight in gold. If you are on the fence, jump full feet in and try it. It is eye opening and can be so fulfilling. I am not sorry I did it – and I encourage anyone who is interested in education, in learning more about our profession, to do it. Was it easy? No. Was it worth it, yes! It was a great experience for me, and I would do it again in a hearbeat.
