REALTORS® Take DC By Storm!

Thousands of REALTORS® descended upon the Capitol! On Wednesday, the halls of House & Senate buildings were filled with NAR members. Missouri Congresswoman Ann Wagner was acting as Speaker of the House, so we met with her lead legislative staffer. His candor was enlightening. He explained the difference between political & policy making perception and reality. He encouraged us to “Be heard in large numbers.”

Housing is the backbone of our economy. We are not just defending our industry, we are the voice for ALL American property owners. REALTORS® truly protect and defend the American Dream. Hearing firsthand how our voices have impact is priceless. When we get a CALL TO ACTION we MUST respond!! Collectively we make a difference. If we’re not at the table, we are on the menu.

Out of our million members, there are about 8000 here this week. How much impact could 30,000 REALTORS® have? If you’re not here, join us in 2016 for high level industry discussions by day and plenty of entertainment at night.

Wednesday night was the infamous Supra Party at the Omni Shoreham hotel. It’s always entertaining to observe partygoers walking up the long flight of stairs afterwards. ;-)

The after-party was a hush-hush event with invitations to who knows who, but they were digitally shared over and over. Our Missouri REALTOR® group observed from a corner booth, and a few folks (not me) might’ve danced a bit, LOL.
