I am driving from my very rural community to the nearest commercial airport two hours away. It’s early morning sunrise: there’s mist rolling across the fields, and a few deer look up casually from their breakfast foraging as I roll by. The population density of Bonner County Idaho is about two people per square mile. I am headed to Washington DC where there is a population density of about 2000 people per mile. DC is the geographic center of the uniquely American vision of government for the people by the people. I am attending the REALTORS® event that is focused on all things political, an opportunity for a place with two people per mile to be on even footing with a place of 2000 people per mile!
