Re-Thinking Innovation – Ideas Exchange Council Invites Brokers!

“The best way to have a good idea is to have lots of ideas”
#quote Linus Pauling – American Scientist 1901

Innovation and wisdom are key drivers in today’s talent driven global economy. The Ideas Exchange Council is an excellent resource for brokers to share knowledge and insight around current topics of interest and to explore potential solutions with their peers across the country.

This year, I will have the honor of participating as the Vice Chair under the leadership of Chairwoman Mary Terry. In addition to topics on the advance agenda, the council serves as a sounding board to bring to the surface new options and challenges that are impacting the consumer marketplace.

On the docket for discussion this year are the following topics:

• Virtual Brokerage Models
• Risk Management Challenges
• Retention & Recruiting
• Mentoring New Agents
• Independent Contractor Classification

Opportunity is provided for topics for discussion to surface from the floor, providing a flowing format which engages discussion. This creates an energized forum for connection and information gathering. You’re encouraged to come and find a seat early as last year’s meeting attracted more than 200 participants.

The meeting this year takes place at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in the Virginia Ballroom at 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm. I’m especially looking forward to learn more about Risk Management Challenges and the latest information from NAR’s legal counsel concerning issues which need to be on our radars with regards to the Independent Contractor Classification.
