CT REALTORS® Dine at the Mansion on O Street

If you are a State or Local Association leader looking for evening events or dinner locations for your group while attending the NAR Legislative meetings next year, you will thank me for this idea. Last night CT REALTORS® enjoyed an amazing evening at the Mansion on O Street. I can only describe the whole experience as truly memorable with a great meal thrown in for good measure.

The Mansion is made up 5 interconnected townhouses with over 100 rooms and 70 secret doors and passages. It has been described by smithsonian.com as one of the top five historic venues in the world to explore. Despite the treasures in each room, we were free to explore all but the occupied guest rooms. The 30,000 square foot mansion includes several kitchens, conference rooms, and galleries and has event space for over 200 guests. We took the self-guided tour but other tours are available like the Treasure Hunt Tour and the Champagne Tour.

There are thousands and thousands of furnishings and decorative items and most everything can be purchased. The owner, H.H. Leonards Spero, was there last evening and even offered to sell the jacket she was wearing. 100% of the proceeds go to support the programs at the museum including artist-in residence. For more information about the unique history of this mansion and its charming owner, visit their website at omansion.com. I promise you will be intrigued and will want to visit the next time we are in town.
