In the past 30 days I have been lucky enough to visit NAR’s headquarters in both Chicago (April) and now Washington D.C. (May). Wow. What an experience. Both properties are humbling and inspiring.
First thought – I was tempted to call it NAR’s Building when I first started writing this post. I am wrong. It is not NAR’s building. It is YOUR building and MY building. Our annual dues paid for the purchase and creation of these properties. Our dues pay for the upkeep and staffing. They truly belong to us as a group. You should really see them in person if you have the chance.
The Washington property was open to all NAR members to view on Wednesday and Thursday this week. When I entered the building I was greeted warmly by the front desk staff and sent right to the 12th floor offices, where refreshments and served. We ooh’ed and aah’ed over the view – until we were sent to the rooftop where the view was even more impressive. You can see the Capitol dome from the rooftop perch.
If you are in Washington D.C. – or downtown Chicago – don’t miss stopping in at “our” building. Every member of NAR needs to know how impressive our properties are, and how they are filled with hundreds of NAR staffers working to meet members’ needs in our business lives.
