Missouri REALTORS® Take Opportunity to Thank Representatives for Their Bipartisan Efforts

Members of the Missouri REALTOR® Party, aka MOREALTOR Party, have been busy meeting with elected officials while in Washington D.C. for the National Association of REALTORS® Legislative Meetings and Trade Show.

In addition to discussing flood insurance and other homeownership matters, the Hill visits gave REALTORS® from Missouri the opportunity to thank their representatives for their support of HR 3700 which makes needed reforms to the FHA condominium loan program, federal assisted housing programs, and rural housing service loan programs. HR 3700 was introduced by two Missouri Representatives, Representative Luetkemeyer and Representative Cleaver, and was passed by the House 427-0. The MOREALTOR Party took the opportunity to ask for the Senate’s support of HR 3700 while at the Capitol.

The bipartisan efforts of Luetkemeyer (Republican) and Cleaver (Democrat) are a shining example of the power of the REALTOR® Party.

Senator Roy Blunt and Senator Claire McCaskill’s aid addressed the group over a lunch briefing. A full day of legislative appointments followed with members of the MOREALTOR Party meeting with:

  • Rep. Jason Smith
  • Rep. Emanuel Cleaver
  • Rep. Vicky Hartzler
  • Rep. Lacy Clay
  • Rep. Billy Long
  • Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer
  • Rep. Sam Graves

Here are highlights of the day!
