Saturday the Women’s Council of REALTORS® Ignite Series focused on peer-specific – content for the areas you need most.  There were 8 sessions agents could choose from to learn new information that can benefit their local chapters or real estate businesses.  Sarah Ware, the 2016 Chicago Chapter President, and owner of the Ware Realty Group provided relevant information on how to certify your company as a Woman Owned and Minority Owned Business.   Sarah provided steps to begin this simple process.  And although the process is easy, it will take patience and time.

Sarah’s 45-minute power session included

  • How to acquire government contracts
  • Learning the process and understanding that the process is  much different than residential.  These transactions can take 6 months, 12 months, or longer.
  • Top ways to expand your networks. Network at government events.  And attend  pre-bid meetings.  Don’t be a wall-flower when attending network events  or meetings and make sure to ask questions.  You won’t learn if you don’t ask.

Real Estate is more than working with traditional buyers and sellers.  These opportunities are a great way to build a successful real estate business.  Be the expert in your city and state.  Become the go-to person when others require residential data for their commercial projects.  Provide relevant data to help developers, government and business owners with the ability to make good decisions on their current and future projects.

Carrie Bey-Little, B.S., is a Certified Paralegal, Hootsuite Certified, DocuSign Certified, a C.E Instructor, C.E. Course Author, and Broker with Baird & Warner, IL. Carrie is the 2014 President for the West Suburban Chapter of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® in Illinois. She’s also produced television programming, and worked for McDonald’s Real Estate Division. Carrie is driven to motivate others to reach their professional goals, personal goals, and real estate dreams. As a C.E. instructor and trainer with Midwest Real Estate Data, she is able to educate 400 to 1000+ real estate professionals a month using the best MLS tools available in the United States. Carrie comes from the professional arena working with the latest technology as early as 1997 with NEC Technologies. She was an early adopter of social media, which gives her the experience to integrate tech into her training with a focus on making it practical for every real estate audience.
