Commercial Real Estate Research Advisory Board

This NAR Advisory Board monitors, provides feedback, and guides the Commercial Research Division of NAR. The research provides comprehensive reports to our members and the public that include Commercial Lending Trends and the Commercial Member Profile to name a few. George Ratiu and staff have done an excellent job in providing top notch reports that have been quoted and discussed in commercial real estate industry forums and outlooks.

At this week’s meeting, we found out about the recent collaboration of RPR with ClientLook (a CRM System out in the market today) which allows for seamless integration of both systems plus Xcelligent, Mailchimp, etc. What I was most impressed about ClientLook is their Virtual Assistant tool. Let’s face it, a CRM is only as good as the user. This virtual assistant allows you to phone in or email instructions to add a follow up phone call, note or a new contact to your account. The sky’s the limit to what you could do with your CRM with an assistant! Although I have not done a test-drive, I’m liking it already.

One of the interesting conversations that ensued in the meeting is the role of the Affiliate Member in survey results that are used as data in the research studies. Institute Affiliates are members of NAR Councils like CCIM and SIOR, etc. It was discussed that it certainly makes sense to survey Institute Affiliate members directly since they are generally full time commercial practitioners and could greatly enhance the quality of the survey results that are currently limited to commercial Realtor members. I am hopeful that this conversation continues on as we strive to be inclusive within NAR for the benefit of ALL our members.

Veronica Malolos

Veronica has been a real estate residential investor since 2000 and has been active in the Central Florida residential market as a real estate Broker since 2004. She began her real estate career as a brokerage owner and in 2011 became Managing Broker for the top producing RE/MAX residential office in Osceola County. In 2013, she became the lead agent for the City of Saint Cloud’s disposition of 17 commercial parcels totaling $13.5 Million in inventory. In January 2015, she moved to NAI Realvest to practice commercial real estate full time. Her main focus is the Osceola County and South Orlando markets. Veronica is currently in NAI Realvest’s Hotel Sales Team. Veronica is an established leader in her community. She is currently an Osceola County Planning Board Commissioner and Vice-Chair of the Osceola County Affordable Housing Advisory Committee that governs the SHIP and CDBG Programs to name a few. She is a Trustee for the Osceola Education Foundation Charter School Board. She is also a Graduate and Alumnus of “Leadership Osceola”. In 2010 she was President of the Osceola County Association of REALTORS® and in 2014 was District 12 Vice President for the State Association, Florida REALTORS®. She believes that real estate practitioners should subscribe to a Code of Ethics and be an active voice for real estate in the community. She and her husband, Manny, have five children and two grandsons and enjoy their large family gatherings weekly.
