Leadership Development at Its Finest

I’ve been a proud member of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® since I started my career in 2004, serving as local and state chapter president, as well as Region 8 vice president in 2015. Most recently I was elected to serve on the National Executive Committee which is made up of members from around the country working together to bring ideas and strategies that will move the council forward into the future. Our mission is to be a network of successful REALTORS® advancing women as professionals and leaders in business, the industry, and the communities we serve.

The council was the spring board that developed my leadership skills, leading me to the roles at my local, state, and national associations where I have been also serving over the past six years. I was mentored by Women’s Council leaders that came before me on how to get involved on NAR committees, as well as the importance of investing in the REALTOR® PAC. I am very proud that 22% of our members serve on the National Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors, and thrilled to hear that 71% of our members invest in RPAC vs. 31% of the total NAR membership. We have very strong leadership participating at all levels of our associations, as well as in their communities, and every one of them accredits that to their involvement at the Women’s Council. I truly believe that I would not be where I am on my journey without the council and look forward to continuing to serve our members at the highest level.
