Within These Walls

It’s been an action packed few days in our nations capital, not only with the ever changing currents events, but also with a conference full of rich content and amazing networking and collaborating. It’s in the 90s and balmy, and if you find yourself with a little free time between hill visits, cool off at the Smithsonian Museum of American History (it’s free) and check out the NAR sponsored “Within These Walls” exhibit. This Georgian style two-story home, which was moved from Ipswich Massachusetts, tells the story of 5 families spanning 200 years. It brings full circle the importance of “home” and magnifies the importance of our advocacy efforts here this week. Here’s to our continued advocacy efforts in protecting homeownership so 200 years from now the story of “home” and the families living there continue to be part of great changes and events in our history.
