Let’s Do This!!!

There is so much to look forward to during the National Association of REALTORS® Legislative Meetings in DC this week. From visits with our elected officials on Capitol Hill advocating to protect private property rights to almost 9,000 volunteer REALTOR® friends and family descending on our nation’s capital to do the good work of the association on behalf of our 1.3 million members. These folks are some of the most passionate and hardest working individuals that I’ve ever met; they take time away from their businesses and their families to lead our organization through the challenges that face our industry. It will be a busy week indeed filled with legislative updates, along with special Fair Housing Anniversary activities, forums on budgets and branding, and wrapping it all up with an election for the position of NAR 2019 first vice president.

I’m not sure there will be much time for sleeping with so many opportunities to connect with friends, network with colleagues, and gain insight and knowledge about the future of organized real estate. I’ve even agreed to give up some shut-eye to teach a morning flow yoga class hosted by the Women’s Council of REALTORS® on Saturday morning from 6:00 AM – 6:45 AM at the Washington Hilton before the board of directors meeting. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or a novice, join me to start your day off right and clear your mind before we get to make the very important decisions for all of our members. This is one of my favorite weeks, and I look forward to it every year. I cannot wait to feel the energy of each and every REALTOR® attending the meetings this week.
