After the legislative meetings, agents continue learning at the Women’s Council of REALTORS® Midyear Meeting. Amy Shocket, Women’s Council member, challenges agents in the room to figure out their “WOW Factor” when working with sellers.
With all the real-time information, buyers and sellers don’t need you to find the house. Yes, that “real truth”. With that said, buyers and sellers are still using REALTORS®. We are needed not just to help find the home, but to help with the process, keep the stress level down, become a counselor and so much more.
Ideas to “keep the human factor”:
Have your sellers tell their story on why they purchased the home. Add that story to your property brochure.
Make the closing about the client – What will your client want? Pay attention to what your clients are saying about the process. Are you working with a new buyer? Would they need a fire extinguisher? How about a trendy, cool looking one? Let them choose the gift.
Celebrate with a “champagne closing.” How about a toast at the home when the deal closes? Maybe a champagne toast after closing.
Housewarming managed by the lender, the agent, and the attorney. Share the costs of the party. What a great way to thank everyone for coming. You get to control the evite list and mailing list.
Stand out with a “REAL” postcard with Ink Cards and Postagram. These apps give you the ability to create postcards that can be mailed to your client.
Let’s stick with the basics. Use Pop by’s when you stop by the clients’ home. Need ideas, check out Pinterest to get more ideas.
Mail to your Sphere of Influence every month. Don’t just send a letter. Make your mailer rememberable. Then ask your clients to post what they get in the mail. Send stats, a new grocery bag, items of value for your clients’. Amy’s clients have told her that some of her client’s kids fight over who gets to open her mail.
Take your clients to a sporting event. Make a t-shirt that says. “Our REALTOR®, your name, takes us to baseball games.” What a great way to get exposure. Let your clients market your business for you.”
How about renting a movie theater for your clients? Team up with your network.
Put together a shredding event one Saturday. Have a shredding truck for the neighborhood, coffee, and a light breakfast.
